Ту-22М3 выполнили посадку на аэродром Анадырь в ходе учения Дальней авиации
По сообщению Департамента информации и массовых коммуникаций Министерства обороны Российской Федерации от 05.10.2017 экипажи Ту-22М3 впервые в истории выполнили посадку на аэродром Анадырь в рамках летно-тактического учения дальней авиации.
Летный состав отработал перебазирование с аэродрома дислокации, совершив при этом две промежуточные посадки на оперативных аэродромах.

Всего в учении задействовано более 20 самолетов, включая Ту-95МС, Ту-22М3 и Ил-78, а также 5 аэродромов и 2 полигона в различных субъектах Российской Федерации от Калужской области до Камчатки.
Учение проходит под руководством командующего дальней авиацией генерал-лейтенанта Сергея Кобылаша.
В ходе мероприятия летный состав отработает полеты на боевое применение авиационных средств поражения по наземным целям и полеты с дозаправкой в воздухе.

Стратегические ракетоносцы Ту-95МС выполнили плановые полеты над нейтральными водами акватории Тихого океана
04.05.2017 года стратегические ракетоносцы Ту-95МС Дальней авиации в сопровождении многоцелевых истребителей Су-35С выполнили плановые полеты над нейтральными водами акватории Тихого океана вдоль Алеутских островов.
Летчики Дальней авиации, согласно утвержденному плану, регулярно выполняют полеты над нейтральными водами акваторий Атлантики, Арктики, Черного моря, Тихого океана как с базовых, так и с оперативных аэродромов.
Все полеты самолетов выполняются в строгом соответствии с Международными правилами использования воздушного пространства над нейтральными водами, не нарушая границ других государств.
Как заявил ранее представитель Командования воздушно-космической обороны Северной Америки Эшли Пек, полет российских бомбардировщиков Ту-95 и истребителей Су-35 около берегов Аляски был профессиональным и безопасным.

American planes intercepted two Russian TU-95 bombers accompanied by two SU-35 fighters that flew close to the Alaska coast Tuesday night, according to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
A U.S. official said the Russian aircraft had flown within 50 nautical miles of the Alaska coastline -- American territorial airspace begins 12 nautical miles from shore.
The intercept occurred around 5 p.m. local time said Capt. Scott Miller, a NORAD spokesman.

Two Russian TU-95 "Bear" bombers were accompanied by two SU-35 "Flanker" fighter aircraft as they entered the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) that stretches 200 miles from the U.S. coastline.
The U.S. requires aircraft to identify themselves when they enter the Alaska ADIZ.
The Russian aircraft were always in international airspace.
A U.S. official said the Russian aircraft had come as close as 50 miles to the Alaska coastline before turning back.

When Russian Bombers Probed, U.S. Air Defenses Took No Chances
NORAD sortied stealth fighters and a radar plane
For two days in a row starting on April 17, 2017, Russian air force Tu-95 Bear bombers flew near Alaska’s air space.
On April 17, the U.S. Air Force scrambled two F-22 Raptor stealth jets, one E-3 Sentry Airborne Early Warning aircraft and a KC-135 tanker to intercept two nuclear-capable Bears flying roughly 100 miles southwest of Kodiak.
The stealth jets took off from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson and intercepted the Russian aircraft inside the local Air Defense Identification Zone.
ADIZs may extend beyond a country’s territory to give the country more time to respond to possible hostile aircraft. In fact, any aircraft flying inside these zones without authorization may be identified as a threat and treated as an enemy aircraft, leading to an interception and visual identification by fighter aircraft.
The F-22 escorted the Tu-95s for at least 12 minutes before the Russian bombers headed back.
On the following night — that is to say few hours after the first “visit” — the Bears flew again inside the ADIZ. But this time, the Air Force opted not to scramble fighter jets, and instead sent an E-3.

Russian bombers fly near Alaska
A pair of Russian nuclear-capable bombers flew near Alaska Monday night, two U.S. officials told Fox News, coming as close as 100 miles from Kodiak Island.

The two Russian Tu-95 “Bear” bombers flew roughly 280 miles southwest of Elmendorf Air Force Base, within the Air Defense Identification Zone of the United States.
The U.S. Air Force scrambled two F-22 stealth fighter jets and an E-3 airborne early warning plane to intercept the Russian bombers.
The American jets flew alongside the Russian bombers for 12 minutes, before the Russian bombers reversed course and headed back to their base in eastern Russia.
