Russia: Icebreakers Festival brings massive Arctic vessels to St. Peters...

29.04.2017 The fourth Icebreakers Festival kicked off in the waters of the Neva River in St. Petersburg on Saturday.

Among the vessels taking part in the festival was the legendary Murmansk, as well as the Mudyug icebreaker and the ice-class Tugboat Nevskaya Zastava.

Locals gathered near the Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment to watch various icebreaker ships in action. Moreover, all comers were able to get a glimpse inside the captain's cabin, as well as the chance to get familiar with the control boards and power station aboard a vessel.
